President's Message ...

September Already? What a year!!!

by Kathy Wallace, WallaceVISION, LLC

I can't believe it's already September! Where did summer go? As an EWI member, I think we had a good one: the most financially successful golf tournament ever, fun and informative meetings, and great networking with a great group of executive women!

I am very excited that we are able to send 10 members to our national conference and training, LCAM later this month! Attending from Colorado Springs are myself, Susan Davis, Donna Berty, Pat Cooper, Joan Saucerman, Lorrie Todd, Kelly Wood, Dianne Crimble, Carol Bryant and Audry Schrive. If you want to join the fun and learning, I encourage you to register and see if your own company can send you! It will be well worth it!

Susan Davis, VP with Wells Fargo Bank, will be taking over the Presidency of our chapter this year - as soon as she is able with her other commitments, so I will be relieved to hand the reins over to her! But I will continue as your president for just another month or so until Susan steps in.

Thanks you all for a great year, and let's continue on with great programming, great networking, and great fun!

See you at the zoo in Sept!

Kathy Wallace

Got Golf?

Look To The Future! ……

Ways & Means Committee Report

Hello EWI Ladies:
Its that time again to start thinking of our 6th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament. We are going to be asking everyone in EWI's to help out in any and all ways possible. We are in need of financial sponsors, golf hole sponsors, golf cart sponsors, give away prizes and as always money!!! I hope everyone is putting on their thinking cap and thinking of who their golf team is going to be. Please help us to have the best year yet and put some wonderful people through college and be able to help them change their future. We are going to try to have them talk to us throughout the year and let us know how they have been helped. Lets get ready and have a GREAT tournament!!

August Meeting

The August chapter meeting was held at the exclusive 15c Martini Bar downtown. Audrey Shrive was able to negotiate the whole place just for our meeting and it was wonderful! The Food Designers catered a delicious buffet meal and martinis of every flavor was served - even a pina colada concoction delivered on fire! The current leadership team held a short business meeting full of great announcements, one of them informing the group that 10 of our own EWI members will be attending LCAM (Leadership Conference and Annual Meeting) in Houston, TX in September! As no program was scheduled, the members and guests were able to spend more time socializing.
