ADD Staff, Inc.
Jayme Holligan
|

|
Are you seeking top talent for your organization? ADD STAFF,
Inc. is paramount for recruiting top talent in administrative, accounting,
executive, and technical opportunities in Colorado Springs.
The organization was founded in 1984 by Cari Shaffer, and has employed
over 35,000 people in direct hire, temporary, and temp-to-hire jobs.
The in-house team of 19 staffers has over 300 years of combined
human resource and/or staffing experience as well as 145 years of
combined experience working at ADD STAFF. The entire staff
dedicates all efforts toward building long-lasting relationships,
and taking care of the staffing needs within our community.
Jayme Holligan joined ADD STAFF in 2002 and became a member of
EWI the same year. She was born and raised in Colorado Springs,
attended Palmer High School, and was an active member of the National
Charity League. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Journalism
with an emphasis in Advertising from the University of Colorado
at Boulder. During college she was selected for the College
Program Internship at Disney World in Orlando. This opportunity
allowed Jayme to learn the principles of customer service that she
still applies to her current position today. After graduating
from CU, Jayme worked as an Account Coordinator for Cramer-Krasselt,
an advertising agency in Orlando. Jayme found advertising
fascinating, but realized that her passion was human resources and
connecting with people. Jayme decided to move back to Colorado,
and it was then she found her Staffing Manager opportunity with
ADD STAFF. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with
family, traveling, and playing tennis.
Aside from EWI, Jayme is a member of the Southern Colorado Women’s
Chamber of Commerce where she writes monthly member bios for their
newsletters, serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the
Colorado Springs Human Resources Association, and participates in
the annual relays for both the American Cancer Society and American
Heart Association.
Jayme truly enjoys the fellowship and professional development
opportunities that EWI has to offer. She is thrilled to surround
herself with the dynamic women in our local chapter.
Jayme can be reached at ADD STAFF 719-528-8888 or

President's Message ...
Fall O Fun
by Kathy Wallace,
WallaceVISION, LLC |
 |
Hello, Executive women! I hope you all enjoyed the Oct. meeting
as much as I did. Kathleen Gage was very inspirational. Her story
and her words of wisdom are a good way to reinforce us as we begin
facing the craziness of the upcoming holiday season. Our attendance
was 100% above our normal monthly meetings with non-member guests
making up half the audience. Great exposure for EWI!
This month, we have our Cavalcade of Firms, always a fun meeting.
Feel free to bring lots of guests, as this is a great way to showcase
what you do – and to let others see just who we are! This
is a good networking meeting, so you will have time and opportunity
to better get to know some of your fellow EWIs and what they do.
Our Ways & Means committee is already working like mad on our
golf tournament fundraiser for our scholarship programs. Please
consider being a sponsor in some way for next June. We would like
100% participation from member firms, so let us know what you can
do!
And special thanks to Joan Saucerman (with help from Accent Photo)
for producing the new hard print EWI directory! If you haven't gotten
yours yet, pick one up at the Nov meeting! See you then.

Program: Flaunt Your Talents at the annual
2006 Calvacade of Firms!
Membership Postings
None for November
Testimonial
I would like to extend
a big THANK YOU to Sally Seidlitz at Accent Photo. Don and I needed
new presentation folders and through many brainstorm meetings and
proofs, they came up with a custom design that is unique for our
company. They went above and beyond what they normally do for clients
and we are very pleased. Thanks, again, Sally! - Dianne Crimble-Loper,

EWI 5th Annual Scholastic Classic Golf Tournament
The
Ways and Means Committee is working diligently on a plan to raise
money for our scholarship programs for 2007. Having a golf
tournament is a huge way to raise a lot or money in one event instead
of doing several smaller events throughout the year. The Committee
is going forward with the 5th Annual Scholastic Classic
Golf Tournament. It will be held on Friday June 1, 2007 at
Kissing Camels Golf Club. We have had several committee meetings
already to set up our plan to begin to get sponsorship dollars to
pay for the golf tournament and raise enough to fund several scholarships.
Our chapter's mission and goal is to raise funds to assist transitional
adults in obtaining a college degree, finish their college education
or assist our membership the opportunity to attend the EWI Academy
of Leadership, or the Certified Professional Leader’'s Online
Program.
EWI members will be receiving
a letter from the Ways and Means Committee early in November informing
each of you about the fund raising we are doing this year through
the 5th Annual Scholastic Classic Golf Tournament. We
want to fund the golf tournament with 100% participation from our
EWI member firms. We are looking to each EWI member to give
your time, talent or treasure to this project. This can be
done with funds donated for our different golf sponsorship levels
(we are a 501 c 3 organization), forming golf teams, getting donations
for door prizes, or serving on the Ways & Means (golf) Committee.
EWI needs your help to make this 5th Golf Tournament
a success! Our goal this year is to net $15,000 which will
allow us to have 5 more scholarships for 2007-2008. This is
huge endeavor and for such a wonderful cause…..furthering
education and women!
We are starting early
this year and pushing eagerly to reach our goal. We need the
EWI member firms to look at their 2007 budgets now before year-end
and make a commitment to give to our golf tournament. If you
are the boss, or you need to go to your manager, chief financial
officer, whoever, please do it now to assist us in raising these
dollars. For 23 years EWI has helped so many adults achieve
their goals. As women we are powerful and can accomplish great
things when we work together. Please help us continue this
tradition and make this 5th year for golf tournament
an incredible success. We need your help! Thank you.

RE: 2007 Professional Development News
EWI Partners with Dale Carnegie
We are excited to announce a partnership with Dale
Carnegie for the delivery of a 2007 web seminar series.
These web seminars will be conducted on a quarterly basis. The exact
dates and content are currently being developed. Details will be
announced soon.
Academy of Leadership on Tour
The City of Chattanooga will be the location for our pilot
2007 Academy
of Leadership
on Tour. The date:
Saturday, March 31, 2007 . Modules offered
at the event will include: Professional and Volunteer Leadership:
Thinking Like a Genius (Module 1), The Power of the
Diverse Communicator (Module 2), and Leadership: The
Power of Relationships (Module 3). Registration will be offered
to EWI member firms and their employees as well as non-member firms,
educational institutions, and the public at large.
Chattanooga was selected as the location for this pilot program
for the following reasons:
-
Centralized location that supports one to three hour travel
by car or plane for many nearby EWI Chapters
-
Chapters in this immediate geographic area currently reflect
the largest number of EWI representatives needing Academy of
Leadership Modules
-
Resources to support hotel accommodations, university/college
connections, marketing, printing, travel, and public relations
venues are available through member firms in the Chattanooga
Chapter and/or their professional networks
Piloting the 2007 Academy
of Leadership
on Tour at one location will allow us to minimize
expenses, maximize target market potential, reduce administrative
overhead, and ensure quality control. We can also perfect a successful
model for future Academy of Leadership on Tour
events.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 31, 2007
, and plan to join us for the first Academy of Leadership
on Tour . Watch for registration materials and program
details coming in December!!!!

Last Month's Meeting

|
One of the greatest challenges in today's competitive market
for any association is how to continually attract people to monthly
meetings. Launching the first meeting of the fiscal year can be
even more challenging. EWI Chapters are no exception to these challenges.
Yet, some are finding great success in light of this sobering reality.
On October 11, 2006 the EWI Colorado Springs Chapter successfully
launched their first meeting to a capacity crowd under the leadership
of 2006 – 2007 President, Kathy Wallace. They embarked on
the coming year with flying colors with a 100% increase in attendance
from previous meetings.
With a combination of a dynamite speaker, timely topic, great location,
and a very focused marketing campaign, the meeting’s success
was evident from the start. Dianne Loper worked closely with featured
speaker, Kathleen Gage, to assure Kathleen was well informed of
the desired outcomes of the meeting. Publicity Chair, Beth Alexander,
in partnership with Kathleen designed an aggressive publicity plan
that included media releases, special website strategies, word of
mouth, and email marketing messages that spanned a period of over
two months. An added benefit of hiring Kathleen
Gage is that not only is she an award winning keynote speaker, she
is a highly recognized marketing expert within many industries.
Kathleen spoke on The Law of Achievement,
based on her best-selling book by the same name. Throughout her
presentation she addressed areas of success, achievement, change
and beliefs. Kathleen Gage is recognized for her wit, passion and
ability to encourage people to take appropriate risks to fulfill
their dreams.
Congratulations to Colorado Springs EWI for a hugely successful
event!
