CK Reyes- My Coaching Works aka
Divine Purpose Unleashed, LLC
I received my BA in Psychology at JFK University in Campbell, California and my Integrative Coaching Training and Certification in conjunction with The Ford Institute of Integrative Coaching. In 2008, I received my Spiritual Divorce designation from the same organization.
Through teaching emotional education, I empower women to heal their hearts so they become self-loving, self-referencing, and self-generating. I am a columnist for the Portland Leader in Tennessee and write motivational articles that follow the same line of writing on my blog at Divine Purpose Unleashed, LLC.
In May 2007, I met Michelle Vandepas, a long time on and off EWI member, and My Coaching Works expanded into Divine Purpose Unleashed, LLC. As a result of my partnership with Michelle, I've added writing, speaking, and facilitation to my current offerings. Michelle and I have been facilitating workshops, teaching classes, and developing materials to empower women to engage in Conscious Livelihood (bringing passion, purpose, and profits into the workplace).
Here are several ways EWI can best use my services:
- Connect me with women who are ready to embark on a journey of manifesting their dreams.
I have a 5K guaranteed coaching process that takes women from the conception of their dream to its implementation. I am currently taking scholarship applications for this quarter through January 31, 2009 and I have openings every quarter.
- I am currently in need of mentors and assistants for our program.
If anyone is in a position to donate about 5 hours per week, this would be a great opportunity to support other women and at the same time benefit from the program we offer.
- If you need a speaker or facilitator for your event we have special rates for EWI member firms.
Contact Michelle at 719-527-1404 for info on event planning.
- I would love your referrals for individual private coaching clients. I generally have a few slots open each month. I offer a cash stipend for referrals. Here are some ways to determine a good coaching candidate:
Is this person willing to take radical action to alter her inner world so the outer expression shows that change?
Is she ready to give up blame and excuses and take responsibility for her life and what she creates in it?
Is she motivated to make the changes in her life that will surely give her the life she wants?

Getting to know me-
One of the first things I do when I meet someone is start to ask questions. I love asking the tough questions that bring clarity to your life and peace to your soul. That's the coach in me. I want to know who you are and what you're about. I want to know what makes you happy and why you do what you do. I enjoy connecting in deep and meaningful ways and invite a deeper connection with each of you at EWI.
I was born in San Diego, but grew up in the bay area in California. I love the ocean and warmth. I don't like me feet cold and you'll probably notice that I wear snow boots from October to April.
I was married twenty years before moving to Colorado Springs with my eleven-year-old-daughter, Aviana. My eighteen-year-old-son, Sergio, stayed in California with his father.
If you see my car in the parking lot with pens on top, please feel free to draw, doodle, or leave philosophical poetry on its hood! Yes, I'm weird!

President's Message
|
|
Welcome 2009!
by Pat Cooper, Wachovia |
|
The history we have witnessed in 2008 may never be as thought provoking as this year. Barack Obama, Michael Phelps and his eight gold medals, a global financial crisis, bail-out packages in America and Europe, stockmarket tumoil, ideological divde in Latic American, Castro steps down, merger after merger after buy-outs, and a multitude of others.
With change comes oppurtunity. May we all become champions in 2009...as defined by Donald Schon, a consultant before becoming a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
A new idea either finds a champion or dies ... No ordinary involvement with a new idea provides the energy required to cope with the indifference and resistance that major technological change provokes ... Champions of new inventions display persistence and courage of heroic quality.
I hope that the forth coming year will be a time of champions, growth, learning and unexpected opportunity for you and our fellow EWI sisters.
We recently received kudos from our Corporate Membership Chair for our membership drive of 12 new members in 2008. It will be a privilege to work with you as we continue MISSION P.A.T. Membership letters will be mailed shortly, if you have any misgivings about renewal please let me hear from you. We expect to have an excellent selection of programs to provoke thought, learning and FUN...Remember our new flexible membership policy accommodates those that travel and have a busy schedule.

Happy New Year to you and your families.
Pat Cooper

Membership Campaign Incentives-
Each representative who recruits a new member firm during the period of October 1, 2008 - May 31, 2009 will receive a EWI eco friendly shopping bag with the new EWI logo. There is no limit on the number of shopping bags a representative can receive. Just make sure your name is listed as the recruiter on the New Member Application, Form 15. Each recruiter's name will be entered into a drawing for a 2009 LCAM registration. Three (3) separate drawings will be held based on which division your Chapter is in (Eastern, Central and Western).
There is no limit on the number of chances a representative can earn.
The TOP RECRUITER will also win a 2009 LCAM registration. (In the event of a tie, a random drawing will be held for this prize.)
NET GROWTH PLUS 1: Each Chapter that has at least one more member firm as of June 1, 2009 than it had on October 1, 2008 will receive a free registration for an EWI Online course ($175 value) to be used at the Chapter's discretion.
CHAPTER RETENTION: Each Chapter who retains 95% or more of their member firms at renewal will receive EWI eco friendly shopping bags with the new EWI logo for each of their Chapter members (active and sustaining).
The EWI Membership Campaign is in full swing. Since the onset of the campaign on October 1, 2008 we have 57 new firms; 38 in October and 19 in November! This is as of mid-December. As of November 30th we have recruited 355 firms in 2008.
We are so close to reaching our 2008 membership goal of 440 new firms. We only need 85 more firms to sign up by December 31, 2008. WE CAN DO THIS! If you have a firm on the hook, get them signed up before year-end.
Remember, dues increase $5.00 beginning January 1, 2009. Corporate dues will increase to $130, with B/C/DP staying at $40. EWI is still the best deal around for networking our firms and staying connected with our local community.

EWI DECEMBER MEETING HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA AT THE BROADMOOR
December's holiday luncheon was again, the year's most festive event held at the exquisite Broadmoor Hotel in the West Ballroom. This year we added a really fun aspect to the monthly meeting with a Holiday Extravaganza!
There were lavish and spectacular gifts from several of our member firms and some new local artists that showcased their unique and special gifts for the holidays. Gifts were available to
purchase for the last minute holiday shoppers from 10:30 am to 1:30pm with a delicious lunch and dessert in between.
We want to thank the following for participating and showing us their incredible products ~
Member firms: Executive Image - Tia Warren, Old Towne Guesthouse - Shirley Wick,
WallaceVision - Kathryn Wallace, Lynn Serverson Interior Designs-Lynn Severson,
Cachet Baskets - Beth Alexander.
Non-Member firms: Mineralife LLC - Kristy Butterfield, Jeanine Potter Designs - Jeanine Potter, Safron - Safron Neusaenger, Maria Battista Etudes - Maria Battista,
Fiber Expression - Maryse Levenson, The Silkworm - Lynn Lee and Meg Tyson Watercolors -
Meg Tyson.
Several members brought guests and all enjoyed a delightful lunch, reflecting the quality and elegance that the Broadmoor is known for! An enjoyable program by The Moonlighters quartet was delivered to us with holiday music to put us all in the spirit of the season. JJ Kaelin, a former EWI member, is part of The Moonlighters. Thank you to Lorrie Molli, with Goodwill Industries, arranging The Moonlighters to entertain us.
Once again the EWI members participated in The Giving Tree coordinated by Silver Key Senior Services. EWI has been participating in the program for many years, which started with Mikki Kraushaar, founder of Silver Key and past EWI member. The gift tags were handed out at the
November meeting and the gifts were delivered at the December luncheon. We thank all EWI members for being so generous to our senior community each Christmas.
The day's event ended with a generous display of door prizes that included gifts from some of our vendors plus many other fabulous gifts from several of our members. Everyone left with the holiday spirit in tact!
