The January Meeting was held at the Hilton Garden Inn on January 11th 2012. We had 47 in attendance, including guests. Our speaker for the evening was Dr. Lisa Jenks, owner and medical director of Genesis Medspa. Our topic for the evening was Skin Health and Wellness. Dr. Jenks discussed some of the newest treatments and services for skin issues. Each guest was given a sample of topical Vitamin C and Active Serum, both are medical grade products and important in skin health as well as wonderful anti-aging serums. Three lucky EWI members won prizes, including a Laser Spider Vein Treatment, a Forever Young Facial as well as “Latisse” (grow your lashes longer, thicker and darker!).
Rita reminded members to read their newsletter, the January newsletter had an important announcement for all members - monthly meal prices would increase to $40, guests to $45.
Terri Flores Brown reported on our annual Golf Tournament coming up Friday, June 1st. She encouraged members to come to the joint meeting with Membership on January 26th at 5:30 at Springs Funeral Services.
Our next meeting will be held at Colorado Springs Country Club on Feb 8th. Speaker Cynthia Griffin, from Pikes Peak hospice will discuss the “The Who, What, When and Why of Planning for the future”. The March 14th meeting will feature Janet Perreault, who will present, “Can you hear me now? The Challenge of Communication.”
