Cachet Baskets

Beth Alexander

Cachet – ca.chet – ka-sha’ definition – A mark of quality, as of distinction, individuality or authenticity.

When I founded Cachet Basket Company in 1991 choosing a name was simple. Cachet described exactly what I wanted to portray with my fledgling gift basket business. I wanted to create gifts of exceptional quality filled with unique, cutting edge products custom designed to perfectly fit the occasion and the recipient.  It is with great excitement that I mark my 15th anniversary in business ….(and 7th year with EWI) Cachet Baskets has come a long way baby!!  We have successfully handled the gift giving needs of individuals, small businesses and large corporations. Cachet Baskets is a proud member of Housing and Building Assoc., Customer Service Association, USAFA business partner, Quest4Events, Springs Best and of course EWI. Our award winning designs have been voted by the Gazette as Best in Colorado Springs, have been featured in Parade of Homes and other notable events.

We have gift baskets and gourmet gifts for all occasions and special events. We specialize in unique custom gift baskets, gourmet foods, local Colorado gifts and products, special occasions, corporate identity and sympathy. We have wonderful holiday gifts for Valentine Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Wedding, Shower, Christmas, Chanukah, Hanukah, Halloween and Thanksgiving. Our goal? To deliver ooh’s and ahh’s, make someone’s day, cebrating life’s moments with avant-garde is our passion as is content, style and customer service. We strive to remain on the cutting edge of the latest industry products and trends and work very hard to find the unique and unusual. We wish to exceed in every way your expectations. Custom is our forte’. We have many exclusive vendors and items you will find nowhere else. While ordering, please take the time to “Customize” your purchase. We offer a wide range of custom add-on products, options for unique container choices, gourmet meat packages and fine wines. Look for our trademark “Cachet” for customize areas on our newly remodeled website at www.cachetbasket.com. We provide comments areas for information such as likes/dislikes, favorite colors and hobbies, or any other information that helps us create the ultimate gift specialized just for them.

As a busy executive woman at the top of your game, you have most likely found that it takes time to shop, design, wrap and present tasteful and to the point gifts. Cachet Basket is here to free up that most precious commodity. TIME. We have Ya-ya sisterhood baskets, gifts for the battered soul and goddess packs to bring out the “goddess” in all of us.  When taking the time to send a gift, make it a memorable experience with Cachet Basket Company. 719-593-9458

President's Message

Spring into Memphis

by Kathleen O'Leary

Hello, Executive Women – it’s GREAT to be here!

The 2006 EWI spring conference was held in Memphis, Tennessee this year. Kathy Wallace your current Vice President and I traveled there on April 20-22 to attend the conference and get a taste of the home of the blues (and of course the home of Elvis).

We participated in several sessions that were offered with the theme of Empowering EWI Partnerships. They included Strategic Planning, Emotional Intelligence, The World is Your Partner, and The Power of Well Being. The speakers were top notch and the sessions were well attended. On Saturday the host chapter conducted a few ‘panel’ type discussions that included our very own Kathy Wallace on one of them highlighting Promotion Through Media Partnerships. Other panels included Support Through Partnering on Special Events, Fundraising and Sponsorships and Service Through Partnerships: EWI Scholarships.

There was much womenship (a word I just invented) all around. Approximately 90 women attended the event from chapters around the country. The caliber of women attending the event was impressive. The entire corporate board attended as well as the corporate staff. It was announced just after the conference that our corporate Executive Director Tara Hurley will be resigning which was very disappointing to hear. Tara’s passion and energy will be sorely missed.

We were treated to an Elvis impersonator (of course), some GREAT entertainment provided by a band called the Bouffants (picture lots of big hair and blue eye shadow – they were fabulous) and really good blues down on Beale Street. Kathy and I also got to witness the march of the ducks at the world famous Peabody Hotel. If you haven’t seen the ducks you haven’t lived I guess! And, of course, we did the obligatory tour of Graceland where the spirit of Elvis permeates the Jungle Room. (That was my favorite part!)

Attending an EWI conference is a treat that can be summed up in just a few words: enlightening, empowering, energizing and Elvis – oops that last one slipped in with all the other E words. Kathy Wallace and I thank you for allowing us the honor of representing our chapter at this event.
